Sobre o Evento
Palliative care, end-of-life care or chronic illness, has been experiencing greater and better development in the first half of the 21st century. Changing paradigms in care, with technological advances and the discoveries of medicine, have also changed horizons of the expectations of sick people. Another important situation is the change in paternalism due to the empowerment of patients and their families.
All these changes and the need to keep people at the center of their care decision based on respect for their dignity, place palliative care at the center of the care management of these patients.
All of these situations raise new challenges in managing end-of-life care.
